A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director
Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.
"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."
The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the production, remarking that he could not remember "one day without mirth".
"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.
He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."
Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator
In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.
"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.
Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.
"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.
Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed
In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the local authorities.
A court order issued a security hold on the cases to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.
The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Rogan finished by remarking that an aide could have acted when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
